Students with three years or more of human service experience may apply for the MicroMasters MSW program. Students who meet the MicroMasters MSW program criteria will be able to complete the Master of Social Work degree in three to six terms of on-campus enrollment.
Prior to submitting an MSW application, persons planning to apply to the MicroMasters MSW must complete an Eligibility Review Request form and resume to the Office of Student Services at firstname.lastname@example.org. The form and resume will be reviewed to assess eligibility to apply to the MicroMasters MSW program. Once the submitted information is reviewed, the prospective applicant will be contacted via email and may be asked to schedule an admissions consultation. Following the initial review, applicants must fill out a full MSW application, and are subject to a full admissions review.
Note: the MicroMasters Certificate alone is a non-credit bearing credential

Each MicroMasters student will have an individual course planning appointment to plan the completion of required credits. MicroMasters students can complete the MSW degree in three semesters as a full-time student or over six semesters as a part-time student. Note that field begins in the first fall term.

After completing the online MicroMasters Certificate, students in the MicroMasters MSW program can complete the MSW degree in three semesters of on-campus enrollment as a full-time student or over six semesters of on-campus enrollment as a part-time student. The cost for the MicroMasters MSW is equivalent to three semesters of full time tuition.
There is no financial aid available for the online MicroMasters certificate courses. If accepted into the MicroMasters MSW program at the University of Michigan, students may apply for grants, scholarships, Direct Loans, GradPlus Loans, and college work study.
