This is a part-time (50% appointment) one year term-limited appointment with potential for renewal and full time employment reporting to Dr. Jacylnn Hawkins.

Responsibilities*

Specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to supporting clinical mental health research studies as follows:

Utilize community partnerships to support underserved and underrepresented groups make and sustain behavior changes to improve diabetes self-care.
Lead efforts to recruit and retain research participants
Schedule and coordinate assessments with community partners and participants
Prepare for and conduct assessments with participants
Manage and submit Human Subject Incentive Payments (HSIP) to participants
Manage and maintain online databases via REDCap
Lead efforts to develop, submit, and maintain Institutional Review Board applications, including submission of Amendments, Continuing Reviews, and Adverse Events as needed
Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Assist with developing reports for community partners with funders

Bachelor's degree
1-2 years research experience
Proficiency in data management (e.g, REDCap) software
Proficiency in data entry skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Experience related to human subjects’ protections, research ethics, and institutional review board applications
Experience conducting participant recruitment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to use considerable judgment, initiative, and independence
Ability to work comfortable with diverse populations
Ability to support participants in completing self-report surveys and questionnaires
