  4. Dean's Welcome Lunch and SSW Student Organization / Information Fair

    September 3, 2014 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm

    Dean Laura Lein will host an all-school welcome lunch in the Lower Level Commons. All staff, faculty, and students are encouraged to attend. Also, stop by the student organization/information fair to learn about important resources and the numerous SSW and on-campus groups that you may want to join.

  5. Social Justice Forum - Ferguson

    September 3, 2014 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

    The Community Organizing Learning Community in conjunction with the CASC minor program hosted an open dialogue on the recent events in Ferguson, Missouri. The forum was open to students, faculty and staff and was featured in The Michigan Daily.

  6. JCLP Annual Community Welcome Breakfast

  7. Alumni Day of Service - Detroit

    September 6, 2014 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

    Join your fellow SSW alumni at The Matrix Center, a community center that supports families and individuals. Volunteers will perform various tasks such as sorting donations, cleaning indoors and painting, or outdoor work clearing trash and removing blight. 

    Friends and family (ages 10+ with a parent, 16+ as an individual) are welcome.

    Hosted by the School of Social Work Office of Development and Alumni Relations and the Alumni Relations Committee of the Alumni Board of Governors.

  8. Asian and Asian American Coalition 'Meet and Greet'

    September 6, 2014 - 11:00am to 1:00pm


    Please join us for the Asian and Asian American Coalition 'Meet and Greet' event this Saturday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the 1st floor lobby of the Social Work Building, (McGregor Commons area) 
    Food will be provided and we will meet our new incoming students and discuss potential events for Fall!

  9. Alumni Day of Service - Ann Arbor

    September 6, 2014 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

    Help fight hunger with your fellow SSW alumni in an afternoon of service at Food Gatherers. We will be sorting and repackaging food to distribute to our hungry neighbors in Washtenaw County. Friends and family (ages 8+ with a parent, 14+ as an individual) are welcome.
