Faculty
The U-M SSW faculty consists of internationally recognized experts in various and wide-ranging fields. People of color constitute one-quarter of the faculty. Clinical faculty members and lecturers bring their current clinical experiences to the classes that they teach, affording students the opportunity to see theory applied to everyday, real-world work experiences.
The faculty's research interests run the gamut from infant and toddler mental health to adventure therapy, from interpersonal violence to poverty's impact on society, from the role of Black churches in the community to the influence of information technology on research collaboratories, and from nonprofit management to supported education for people struggling with mental illness.
